Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

On March 18 we went with a group from our church to visit the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden south of Gastonia. What a fantastic place to view nature, even this early in the year. As the flowering season gets under way it is even better. They have recently opened a orchid conservancy and as photographers Connie and I were like a kids in a candy store. I highly recommend a visit if you enjoy flowers. Here are a couple of pictures, and there are more on the Picasa web site.

Ok, confession time here. After looking at these pictures, I was inspired to do some gardening. I went to Lowes to carefully pick me some flowers to plant in a "few" flower pots. I was quite proud of myself for my accomplishment and my "few" flower pots were looking quite beautiful. Last night it got really, really cold here and now I have a few pots of dead flowers. This weekend we will go back to Lowes and start all over again. :(

Loved you pictures as always!

We took the pictures, but we sure didn't grow them. There are a lot of pictures from me and Connie on the picasa web site. Have you seen them?
Thanks for letting me know that someone is looking.
